Get together for an unforgettable trip to the North Yorkshire Moors with your nearest and dearest – including the four-legged members of the pack! Set in a secluded spot amongst Yorkshire’s rolling hills, this remarkable property offers a farmhouse retreat that you won’t quickly forget. Sleeping eight guests and two canine companions, the property is ideally suited to an extended family looking for some outdoor excursions.

This charming property has been lovingly refurbished in a minimalist style yet maintains plenty of original features. Oak beams and exposed stone walls are a stylish reminder of your location, whilst the neutral colour scheme helps create a calming spot to unwind. On arrival, head into the handy utility room to wipe off muddy paws and dry wet fur, throwing doggie towels into the washing machine if needed. Pass through the beautiful farmhouse kitchen and find a welcoming hamper of goodies, before retiring to the cosy lounge. Fido and Rover will no doubt claim a spot in front of the warming wood burner whilst the rest of you settle into comfy seating to watch the Smart TV. Ideally, your four-pawed pals will sleep in a cage overnight; but, exhausted after a long day on the Moors or playing in the enclosed garden, and cosy and warm in the lounge, that shouldn’t be a problem at all.

Sniff out adventure close by, walking up to the hamlet of Low Mill (1 mile) to embark on a wonderful daffodil walk along the River Dove. Leave no stick unfetched in the surrounding North York Moors, enjoying a trip out to the picturesque Rosedale Abbey and stopping off at a dog-friendly pub or tearoom. Pack your Muttley crew into a car for a trip to nearby Whitby (27 miles), enjoying long dog walks on the sand at West Cliff Beach (24 miles).

Clean, well furnished cottage, beautiful garden and stunning views over the valley and up to the moors. On a small road just a short walk from a pretty general store which has some essentials. Although the lounge was quite small (fine for us 4 but a squash if any more) the bedrooms were clean and light, beds had good quality mattresses (rare for hoRead moreliday cottages). The utility room gives extra space. Good walks from door, lots to visit/do. Hide

Absolutely wonderful. Cottage was spotless. All 6 of us (and the dog) had a well deserved break in a cottage that nobody found fault with. Would love to return.

Really comfortable and well-equipped cottage in an amazing location, the views over Farndale are breathtaking. Travelled far and wide from the central North York Moors location, coast beautiful, moors spectacular. Excellent local pub - a proper Dales pub - closeby. Would definitely stay in the cottage again.

Excellent house sleeping 7 adults from one family. Great to have a lovely garden surrounded by moorland and hills. It was an added bonus having 3 bathrooms. Kitchen was well stocked with plenty of crockery, cutlery and ample pots and pans for cooking. It would have been good to have some hanging rails for clothes in the upstairs bedrooms as there wRead moreere no wardrobes, only drawers. Otherwise and excellent property with lots of space. Hide

This is a fabulous cottage with a lovely enclosed garden which was safe for the children. The location and views are stunning. It was great to wake up in the morning to see a line of pheasants on the fence behind the cottage! Beautifully presented, very clean and comfortable and a real home from home.
