Located in the English Riviera town of Brixham, this homely cottage is a short walk from the town’s harbour where you can enjoy a freshly baked pasty as you watch the local fishing fleet land its catch. This is also where you can join the 630-mile long South West Coast Path, which will take you out of town to adventures in either direction.
Sleeping six, plus two hounds, this property is entered on the first floor, where you will find two of the bedrooms (a twin and a double) as well as a family bathroom. Head upstairs to discover the king-size master bedroom with en-suite shower room, and sniff out the snug, which offers views over Brixham – the ideal spot for you and your four-legged friends to curl up with a book at the end of the day. On the ground floor is an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, which creates the ideal social space for catching up on the day’s events, planning your next adventure or simply enjoying a film together. Meanwhile, a small, enclosed rear garden with bistro set provides a pretty spot to enjoy a morning coffee.
Within easy reach of the town’s amenities, you will never be short of places to eat or drink, with many of the local pubs and restaurants specialising in the local seafood. The South West Coast Path will take you out of town, providing you with great walks to Berry Head Common, St Mary’s Bay and countless coves to the south, or across to some fantastic dog-friendly beaches to the west. For urban hounds, the resort towns of Paignton and Torquay and the historic streets of Dartmouth and Totnes all lie within a 10-mile radius, while the edge of Dartmoor – and untold outdoor adventure – is 20 miles away.
