Enjoy a romantic break with this unique riverbank cottage for couples and a four-legged friend. Explore the stunning countryside and the market town of Spalding (6 miles) before returning to your riverside bolthole to fish from the garden or simply sit and watch the wildlife with your pooch. When night falls, indulge in a long hot soak in the claw foot bath before settling in for a cosy evening with your loved one while your pup keeps warm beside the crackling wood burner.

Inside, every inch of space has been used to provide stylish and light accommodation in this small but perfectly formed cottage. While your pooch makes himself at home, rustle up romantic meals for two in the quaint galley kitchen, where you will find everything you could need. When it’s time to relax, choose between the spacious sunroom with its wonderful views over the river and the cosy cladded lounge with its wood burner for chillier evenings. Soothe tired muscles after long days on foot in the fabulous free-standing bath before sinking into the double bed, which also boasts fantastic river views. Outside, the riverside garden is a wonderful space for al fresco dining and soaking up the peace and tranquility of this magical setting.

Set beside the River Glen in the hamlet of Surfleet Seas End, this waterside retreat is the perfect starting point for romantic walks. Stock up on supplies in the market town of Spalding, where you will find everything from shops to a theatre, with plenty of dog-friendly eateries to choose from too. A little further afield is the historic town of Stamford (25 miles), a famous filming location for the likes of Pride and Prejudice, Middlemarch and The Da Vinci Code and home to the famous Burghley Park Horse Trials (26.5 miles) each September.

  • There is an Accidental Damage Deposit of £150 when booking at this property, however this may be waived for £20. We’ll provide more details about this when booking your holiday.

It's a perfect cottage with everything you could need, the hotub by the river was absolute bliss and the ship inn 2 mins walk was very handy.

Ideally sized cottage for two people. Lovely location with lots of walks nearby. Cottage was well equipped and spotlessly clean. Jason the owner was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. This is ideal for a two person plus dog holiday. Lovely and quiet, great location, lovely log fire. Right on the river for fishing. Shirt stroll to the pub. Spotlessly clean, well equipped cottage. We loved it.

A lovely place with friendly owners, the cottage was beautiful with everything we needed, we had a lovely relaxing weekend and easy access to great fishing. We would recommend staying here, with the local pub a short 2 min walk away what more could you ask for.

What a brilliant cottage in a marvellously unspoilt location. Jason and Cheryl were the perfect hosts - nothing was too much trouble for them, and the welcome hampers both for us and for our dog was greatly appreciated. The cottage itself was very clean and tidy, and exceptionally well equipped for a holiday let, right down to a disposable shaving Read morekit in the bathroom cabinet. Had the most amazing stay at Storeybrooke Cottage and will definatley be returning next year. The cottage itself is very cosy and felt completely at home. The fishing was ideal for my husband and areally relaxinf time for me. Jason can't do enough to make your stay perfect for you. Would highly recomend to anyone.

Idyllic location, Storybooke cottage is a little Haven - well equipped, spotlessly clean. The owners Jay and Cheryl could not be more helpful. There is an impressive welcome hamper and if you have a dog they get one too. Ideal for fishing, walking and a golf course only a stones throw away. Local pub The Ship serves excellent food. Arrived earlier than our time, so found The Ship pub for a quick drink, it's just a short walk from the Cottage! On arrival Storybrooke inside was very cosy and we wanted for nothing. The welcome hamper was incredible, thank you Jason very welcome indeed! The neighbours were so friendly too. The area is fantastic for walking. In the garden, Swans, Read moreducks and a Robin greet you every morning a Heaven. We'd certainly recommend staying there. Thankyou x Hide

What a beautiful cottage, we stayed over Christmas and it was so lovely! The decorations made it feel really homely and cosy. We will definitely be looking to book again, perhaps in the summer next time to make use of the garden!

A really lovely cottage in a great location. The newowners are very friendly and attentive and any issues were sorted quickly. Also a number of improvements have been added since they took over in October, and more are to come! The fishing was good too. We will hopefully be returning in the summer.
