With bags of creature comforts at home, loads to explore nearby and a great country pub within 350 yards (with a dog-friendly beer garden), you can pack your holiday in Dorset with as much relaxation and exploration as you please.

 

A Grade-II listed cottage in the heart of the picturesque village of Church Knowle, this property has four bedrooms and two bathrooms – an ideal size for family holidays or getaways with friends. Exuding traditional farmhouse vibes, your tribe will immediately feel at home here. Start your morning with a hearty breakfast cooked up in the well-equipped kitchen. With plenty of space for dining, meals throughout the day will be a pleasure, rotating from the breakfast room to the conservatory/dining room to the outdoor table and chairs. In the evenings, the best place to be is either in the lounge, where your sleeping dog can lie in front of the wood burner as light-hearted chatter floods the room or the games room which includes a PS3 console and a reading area. To indulge in leisurely mornings and early nights, the bedrooms can be found on the first and second floors and have reduced height at the eaves.

 

Let your dog stretch his legs in the property’s garden in the morning, before heading off to explore the locale. Parading jaw-dropping views all around, there will be no shortage of routes nearby, but you can also head to the coast (2.5 miles) for salty sea strolls. For a trip through time with your pup, head to Corfe Castle (2 miles) and learn all about one of Britain's most famous survivors of the English Civil War. There is parking for 2 cars on the village lane directly in front of the cottage, spaces are not reserved and will be subject to availability.

We visited on the recommendation of a friend & weren't at all disappointed. The cottage is very clean/ spacious - 2 very generous doubles on the 1st floor and 2 twins in the roof, with 2 bathrooms and a downstairs toilet, so ideal for our group of 3 friends. We visited during Storm Isha, so didn't really use the conservatory or garden but it would Read morebe fantastic in the Spring/Summer. Didn't matter to us at all but I would just say that if you feel the cold and it's not the hottest heating system. Hide

Really lovely warm, cosy cottage that we would definitely book again. The grandchildren loved the games room and were sad to leave as were the grownups!!

We loved our stay at Primrose Cottage. it was very well appointed and equipped and the beds were comfortable. our 3year old and 11month old had lots of fun with the well stocked Toy Box, thank you for that as its difficult to find car space for a weeks worth of toys. the Apple tree was an unexpected bonus and much enjoyed extra snacking. as for theRead more location it was fantastic, easy to find . Beautiful cottage, in a lovely location and well looked after. We really enjoyed our stay. A few snags in regards to the bins from the previous persons who stayed and having to rewash the tableware (cups, plates and cutlery) as they were still dirty but put back in the cupboard. Location is great, garden is lovely and cottage very comfortable. A little rustic in places and we were staying for two nights over a weekend and didn't have enough towels for each person, toilet roll or dishwasher tablets which was a little annoying. We called to ask for the missing towels to be dropped off and they said they would be but weren't.Read more Some small annoyances but overall we really enjoyed the cottage for our girls weekend. The location was perfect for what we wanted. Just a 20 minute drive to lulworth cove and durdle door and Corfe castle and blue pool were a few minutes drive away. Pub next door served good food and service was great - didnt wait long to place order or for food to arrive. A lovely cottage at any time of the year, particularly this Christmas, in a location we know well. Great pub next door and Purbeck is one of our favourite places to visit in the UK. Will definitely come back!

A lovely property with beautiful enclosed garden so safe for kids and dogs. We were two families (total of 4 adults and 4 kids) so house was perfect and enough seating in the conservatory for us to eat evening meals together. The cottage is right next door to a lovely country pub with incredible food. There is a park just up the road and plenty of Read morewalks from the door step. The bedrooms are all well sized. Very clean cottage with all you could need. Pub noise was not a problem. There is however no guaranteed parking. The cottage is well located if you have transport to get to the coast. Otherwise its good for country walks. In this area NT membership is recommended (even for the beach car parks)!. No local shop in village but shops in Corfe nearby. WRead moreould recommend. Hide
