Welcome to this chocolate box thatched cottage with its own private garden, nestled in the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Tailor-made for families and couples with furry companions, rustic charm meets contemporary comfort in this inviting home away from home.

Step into the lounge/diner and unwind in front of the Smart TV with Rover at your feet. The dining table provides ample space to savour leisurely meals while planning your upcoming adventures. Beyond, you’ll find the contemporary kitchen, where you can prepare your favourite dishes while gazing out at the garden. Climb the steep stairs to the first floor, where three inviting bedrooms await. The master bedroom boasts a king-size bed and is bathed in natural light thanks to its dual-aspect windows. Two additional bedrooms feature a small double bed and a single bed. Completing the first floor is the family bathroom. To the rear of the cottage, you’ll discover the enclosed garden with a table and chairs. Start your day on the patio with a warm mug of coffee while Fido explores his new surroundings.

Beyond the cottage, a bridleway beckons you down to the beach, cliffs, and the welcoming village pub at Seatown, less than a mile away. Though there is a season dog restriction in place, there are wonderful cliff-top walks to enjoy that will surely get tails wagging. If you’re a fan of the TV series "Broadchurch," you’ll be delighted to visit the popular seaside resort of West Bay (4 miles), known for its bustling harbour and expansive beach where your hound is free to run and play year-round in the East Cliff area. Charmouth (5 miles) offers a sought-after fossil-hunting beach where you can rent hammers and sniff out some history. Continue your journey westward to Lyme Regis (7.5 miles), a charming seaside town with a variety of independent shops and pup-positive pubs and cafes.

This is the second time at Meadow Cottage, enjoyed it so much first time around, we came back. Love the layout of the cottage and garden, and great location for discovering the local area. Dont need to go far, lots to do nearby, for everyone, and the owner, Leslie, always happy to help if needed. Will be back for another visit next year.

Really nice cottage in a great location. Very picturesque and a beautiful spot. The only two downsides are 1. only one and a very noisy toilet, 2. challenging for tall people. We are all 178cm+ and spent the first few days banging our heads on the low door lintels. We spent the rest of the times permanently stooped.
