Stunning single-level property cleverly designed for modern living set on a backdrop of beautiful countryside and benefiting from large indoor and outdoor space for all the family.
You can’t teach an old dog new tricks, but you CAN introduce her to a new holiday destination she’ll adore. Stay with up to seven other humans – plus one canine – at this spacious bungalow in Worth Matravers, in beautiful Dorset. Spend long days walking over pretty cliffs, lounging on sandy beaches and exploring quaint villages – all activities your pet will revel in too. The Jurassic Coast, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty famous for its rich wildlife habitats and diverse landscapes, is the perfect place to relax as a family or among good friends.
The single-storey house is decorated in a clean, modern style, with bright colours and contemporary furniture. The airy open-plan living space has bi-folding doors and plenty of windows which create a sense of space. On one side there’s a roomy conservatory – a great spot for the dog to have a winter sunbathe. Out the back, there’s a huge multi-level garden with sea views, a decked section and a paved area. This space winds round to the front, where your pet can play with her squeaky toy on the lawn.
Within 0.5 miles you’ll find shops, a tearoom plus a pet-friendly real-ale pub in a Grade II listed building. The house is also just 1 mile from the sea. At the 1,000-year-old Corfe Castle (4 miles), dogs on short leads are welcome. After wandering around these National Trust-owned ruins, head for tea and cake in a doggie-friendly cafe nearby. History fans won’t want to miss a trip to the open-air museum of Tyneham (10 miles); this farming village was abandoned by its residents in 1943 and has been maintained in the same state, with a school, church and residential houses you can visit.
