Beautiful house and garden, very clean, comfortable and extremely well-equipped. We thoroughly enjoyed our week, and the location is excellent for visiting many local Yorkshire towns.

This house is just lovely, clean and had everything we needed for a weekend stay. We were a 3 generation family with my parents (86yrs), us two, our son, daughter in law and grandaughter, in an ideal spot for our other local family to pop over and visit us. Gardens and grounds were fab for our dogs. A great retreat.

Fantastic family holiday over New Year. The house is spacious, beautifully decorated with plenty of hot water and comfortable beds. Although initially scared, we rose to the challenge of using an electric Aga and produced competent cakes, and a full roast dinner. Aga cookbook was really helpful, thanks. The Greyhound Inn is less than 5 minutes walkRead more and we also ate there 3 times (in 7 days). Recommendations for walks and appropriate guide books were comprehensive as was the detailed house guide. Hide

We thought that the owners paid particular attention to detail. We liked that they left us a hamper and that things like washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets were there as otherwise it would have meant bringing them with us.
