Nestled behind the narrow, cobbled streets of the picture-perfect fishing village of Robin Hood’s Bay is this charming sandstone cottage. Situated on the North York Moors Heritage Coast, families/friends and their canine companions will love the close proximity to a number of coast and countryside walks. You and your four-legged friends will love exploring and soaking up the dramatic, rugged coastline, the sandy beaches and the heather-clad hills of the National Park. It’s location also means you have easy access to the many shops and restaurants within the bustling village.
With an eclectic blend of traditional, country-cottage chic and contemporary pops of colour, this cottage is full of character. The ground floor is home to a lounge with rustic charm and a cosy wood burner. Up a few stairs, you will find the modern, but well-equipped kitchen, with a small dining table in the corner. Another narrow staircase leads up to a bright and airy double bedroom and a stylish family bathroom. The second bedroom can be found on the next floor and affords views across the rooftops to the sea. Outside, there is a quaint cobbled courtyard – a rarity in this area!
Should you want to venture further than the village itself, Whitby (6 miles) has lots to offer. A popular seaside resort, it has a range of independent shops/eateries lining its medieval streets and with its strong connections to Dracula, the 13th-century ruins of St Hilda's Abbey are part of the town’s rich heritage. You could even take the steam railway to another popular seaside resort, Scarborough (16.5 miles). Head inland to explore the natural beauty of the North York Moors National Park, which is also home to many picturesque towns/villages, each with their own character.
