This cosy seaside hideaway is located in Pett Level, which has an unspoilt shingle beach known for its rock pools, fossils and the mysterious 6,000-year-old sunken forest which can sometimes be seen if the tide is out. This property is ideal for couples and families wishing to explore the seaside and countryside from one ideal location, along with their beloved four-legged family member.

Step inside the airy split-level cottage and you’ll be welcomed into the comfortable lounge where a corner sofa sits nestled in front of the wood burner, keeping you cosy as you enjoy a film on the Smart TV. A small breakfast table provides the perfect perch to enjoy a mid-morning coffee from the kitchen’s coffee machine on a relaxing day indoors. The layout of the property suits two families staying together, with two master double bedrooms and en-suite shower rooms located at either end of the cottage. A further two double bedrooms and one twin bedroom are located in the middle. Outside there is a decked area with a table and chairs, allowing the whole family, dog included, to enjoy the wonderful garden space.

Keen walkers and cyclists will enjoy a visit to the Rye Harbour Nature Reserve where you’ll be able to get up close and personal with all manner of wildlife in a picturesque setting. Located just 8 miles away, dogs are welcome to stroll the grounds with you, meaning you don’t have to leave Fido at home while you have all the fun. Rye itself is known for its famous cobbled streets, Tudor properties and exciting tales of smuggling and is well worth an explore.

A really excellent property for staying with wider family members including children and grandchildren. Our party consisted of three children (youngest 3y) and seven adults. The location is somewhat remote but Hastings is only 6 miles away. Our families are used to walking and we enjoyed the walks in the area particularly down to Pet Level Beach, wRead morehere there is a small cafe (not open all year Eaters@Pett). There are two good pubs in the area within a 10 minutes drive. Hide

This was a great choice for our extended family Easter week holiday, 9 humans aged 12 to 78 plus a small dog. We loved the terrace, giant sofa and the big dining table., 3 bathrooms a big bonus. Lots of simple pleasures and walks nearby. All were very happy.

We had an excellent Christmas week in this lovely property. Very well equipped kitchen which we needed for all the Christmas eating! Lots of room for everyone to sit in the lounge comfortably - though there are only 8 dining chairs around the table despite the house sleeping 10! Lovely location within reach of the sea (10-15 min walk) and main townRead mores. It is down a steep narrow lane so just beware! We also found the TV didnt work very well so suggest taking your own streaming devices or sticks! Hide

Excellent cottage for shared family group. Unlike many other large capacity cottages, this one has plenty of room on comfy sofas for everyone, and loads of good, well kept kitchen equipment and crockery suitable for large scale catering. HIVE thermostat and adjustable radiators easy to use. Convenient layout - young children who wake early could goRead more into large living area and not disturb others. Good location - few minutes walk to the beach and 20 minute drive to Rye. House was clean and comfortable and the kitchen was incredibly well equipped.

The cottage was ideal for a large family "get together". Easy access to the local beach and places like Battle, Hastings and Rye. Due to the lovely weather it was great to be able to sit outside on the decking and a safe place for a 2 year old and 4 year old. We would definitely recommend it and it would be a great venue for not only Easter, SummerRead more breaks but also a family get together at Christmas. Hide
