You’ll find shops and a doggie-friendly pub within 0.5 miles. Shaftesbury Abbey (0.5 miles) welcomes dogs on leads; this museum and gardens are great for learning more about the areas’s history. For doggie-pleasing walkies you don’t have to go far – the town is right on the edge of Cranborne Chase - a varied landscape taking in ancient woodlands, chalk river valleys and pretty hillsides that your pet will adore. The New Forest National Park (24.5 miles) is another excellent ball-throwing spot.
