Enjoy beautiful hilly Dorset views from the comfort of your airy barn-style accommodation, which sleeps up to six guests and three blissful hounds. Open the doors on to your enclosed garden to enjoy the superb indoor and outdoor space after long rambles through idyllic countryside.

Your single-storey holiday home is set on the edge of the village of Corton Denham on a no through lane and is designed around a spectacular open-plan living space. With its high vaulted ceiling, porthole window and French doors, this great space is flooded with natural light. Light the stylish wood burner on a chilly night while you sit on the sofa to watch TV with your canine companions curled up on the rug. Sit up at the table or the breakfast bar to enjoy a delicious meal made with Dorset produce while your four-legged friends wait patiently for their next trip out. Each of the three bedrooms has access to its own bath or shower room, with one of these also having a Jack and Jill door on to the hall. The utility room is an excellent place to dry damp doggies after muddy walks and its washing machine is invaluable for keeping on top of your chums’ towels and blankets. Step out from your lounge or dining area to sit in the sunshine, and take in the rural views, while your happy hounds frolic to their hearts’ content.

Stroll into the village, where the local pub is a 10 minute walk away and is known for the warm welcome it extends to its four-legged visitors. Head 4 miles into Sherborne, to find more dog-friendly pubs and cafes. Embark on a 3-mile walk from your front door to the hillfort of Cadbury Castle and climb to the top for sweeping vistas and a chance to rest tired paws before heading home.

Absolutely lovely! We stayed for a week with friends. On arrival, we were greeted with an amazing complimentary welcome pack: flowers, cake, bread, etc.too much to list. The property itself was outstanding; plenty of room, comfortable, and clean. Everything you would need for your stay was there, finished off with the best view. We booked to returnRead more next year before we left. Hide

We had a wonderful week at The Piggeries! The cottage is extremely comfortable and the views are stunning. You can enjoy lovely walks in the area. The weather also cooperated with a few beautiful sunny days. In short, an absolute must if you want to completely relax for a few days. Thank you for the hospitality in all respects.

A lovely comfortable property. Despite the cold January weather, the underfloor heating and log burner kept the place really cosy and warm. Kitchen was well equipped and the welcome pack was very generous and made us feel at home very quickly! Lots to do in the area, including Haynes motor museum, Fleet air arm museum, Bruton Sherborne, Stourhead, Read morealong with local walks. Recommend the Digby Tap in Sherborne for a solid no nonsense pub lunch and Queens Arms for a special occasion. Hide

Great location in a tastefully decorated home. If you want to unwind, this property is perfect. We were welcomed with soft lighting, some essentials and absolutely lovely cake. We walked around the entire area with our 2 dogs and only ever took the car out to the supermarket. 5 star experience.

We really loved our stay, the house was perfect for our family. Having an en-suite with each bedroom is ideal, and the living space was cosy and perfect for us all to gather for meals and evenings by the TV (or trying and failing to light the log burner!). Gorgeous rural location, with the Dorset coast within reach and also great Somerset towns likRead moree Glastonbury and Wells. And highly recommend the nearby Mitre Inn for reasonably priced pub fayre and a genuinely warm and dog-friendly welcome. Hide

The Piggeries was amazing accommodation. It is out in the countryside so quite remote. WiFi was hit and miss but owners had Netflix on TV. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay

This is a spacious and comfortable property with spectacular views over the countryside. Although it appears isolated Sherborne and its abbey, castle, restaurants and shops are only a 10 minute drive away. We particularly liked the large open plan kitchen/lounge/diner, perfect for socialising with our friends. The owners were friendly and went out Read moreof their way to make sure we had all we needed. The welcome pack with its local oroduce was much appreciated, as were the lovely toiletries. Hide
