This characterful holiday home boasts a peaceful, countryside setting just outside the North Yorkshire village of Huby. Sleeping two guests and two pups, the cottage is the perfect base for couples seeking a relaxing getaway with their favourite furry friends. The property is surrounded by open countryside, offering fantastic dog-walking opportunities, and is also close to popular woof-friendly attractions such as Brimham Rocks (16 miles) and Fountains Abbey (17 miles). In the evenings, pour a glass of wine and chill out on the patio, taking in your tranquil surroundings.
The attractive, stone farm building has been beautifully converted to create a welcoming holiday retreat with a country-cottage style and homely touches throughout. The property still retains many of its original features, including exposed trusses and stonework. The main living area is open plan, with a comfortable lounge area with plump sofas and a TV/DVD. Stretch out here, after a long walk, while the hounds doze in the warmth of the wood burner. The pretty kitchen area is a joy to cook in and has a sweet dining table for sharing mealtimes together. A small flight of stairs leads down to the double bedroom and en-suite bathroom. Outside, soak up the sunshine at the bistro set on the patio (please keep dogs on a lead outside, due to the nearby livestock).
The elegant spa town of Harrogate is 7 miles away and has some fabulous paw-friendly shops and eateries. It also boasts spectacular public gardens to investigate with your four-pawed pals. Harewood House is 6 miles away. You and your furry sidekicks can take long walks through the extensive grounds, before treating yourself to a coffee and some doggy ice cream in the courtyard cafe. Alternatively, enjoy walks from the cottage, followed by refreshments in the friendly village pub.
