The charming cottage makes a great base for a couple seeking to explore the beautiful Yorkshire Dales with a furry companion. The property is in the pretty village of Ripley, which is a popular starting point for several circular walks encompassing Ripley Castle. You’ll also be within 5 miles of the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with its miles and miles of picturesque tracks to sniff and explore.
The cottage is set on a working farm and has a studio-style layout comprising a lounge/kitchen/diner/bedroom. This bright and airy space has high ceilings with characterful exposed beams and is decorated in a homely style. After a long dog walk, unwind here on the comfortable seating to watch the TV/DVD or read a book from the selection provided. The kitchen area has everything needed for a self-catering holiday, and there’s a dining table for enjoying romantic dinners for two. When the day is done, retire to the super-king-size bed for a good night’s sleep. The hallway has space for storing muddy boots and dog-walking gear, and this leads to a handy utility room. A separate shower room completes the accommodation. Outside, the enclosed garden has a patio area with furniture and a BBQ for outdoor dining. Guests are welcome to explore the farm alongside the owners but, please note, there are working farm dogs onsite.
The elegant spa town of Harrogate is 4 miles away and has a great range of independent shops and eateries to investigate with your four-pawed chum. After a potter around the shops, be sure to take a stroll through some of the town’s iconic formal gardens. There are some fantastic, woof-friendly attractions within easy reach of the cottage, including Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal Water Garden, Brimham Rocks, and Mother Shipton’s Cave (all within 10 miles).
