This four-bedroom converted farmhouse with an enclosed garden is set in the beautiful landscape of Snowdonia, with dozens of beautiful doggy walks from the doorstep and an expansive wide wag-friendly beach just a couple of miles away.
The charming farmhouse with period features, including an open fire and stone walls, has a well-equipped kitchen that’s great for cooking up some Welsh lamb after a busy day exploring Snowdonia. The scullery is the ideal place for storing boots, coats and dog leads before trying out your luck on the pool table down there too! Cosy up by the coal-effect electric fire in the evening while Fido snoozes contentedly, before retiring to one of the four comfortable bedrooms upstairs, including two with en-suite facilities. There’s also a shower room upstairs. The enclosed walled garden is ideal for four-pawed friends to stretch their legs in the morning, and is a very enjoyable place to spend an evening relaxing around the fire pit and BBQ or enjoying a snack of Welsh cakes, laverbread and local cavern-aged cheese as you contemplate the mountain views. There’s ample parking and a lockable shed for storing outdoor equipment.
The property is located within the Snowdonia National Park, and there are dozens of walks from the cottage itself into the Park taking you through ancient woodland, past green valleys and alongside old quarries that echo the region’s past. Just 2 miles from the cottage is the pretty resort of Fairbourne with its wide beach. Popular with dog-walkers, it’s ideal for pups to enjoy frolicking in the waves and running along the sand. You can join the Wales Coast Path here too and enjoy spectacular views out to sea. Younger guests will love the underground attractions of King Arthur’s Labyrinth and the Corris Mine Explorers 18 miles away.
