Take the family pet on the holiday of her dreams to this charming cottage on the North Norfolk Coast, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with gorgeous coastal marshes and cliffs. As she tears along a beach as fast as her legs will carry her, with her little ears flapping in the wind, she’ll think all her Christmases have come at once. Later, as she curls up on the sofa and nestles her wet nose on her tired paws, she’ll wonder what she did to deserve such a perfect trip. With room for up to six humans and one canine, this property is ideal for a group of friends or a large family and their pet.
The inside is beautifully decorated, combining slick modern facilities with gorgeous original features including exposed ceiling beams. There’s a well-equipped and spacious open-plan kitchen/diner, as well as two lounges for kicking back in. At the front of the house, there’s an enclosed garden where your pup can nap in the shade while you prepare lunch. In the games room, challenge a fellow guest to a game of table tennis or darts – or why not have a tournament that lasts the whole trip?
The cottage is in Weybourne, which has a pebble beach for daily walks and dog-friendly pubs for quiet afternoon pints. For a fun day out, pop to the traditional seaside town of Sheringham (3.5 miles) and wander down the high street, popping into some independent shops or perhaps into a cafe for a nice cuppa. From here, you can take your four-legged companion on a 10.5-mile round trip on a steam train to Holt – as long as she behaves herself, that is!
