A totally dreamy retreat in Polruan, South Cornwall, this property is sure to win the paws up from all your pack. From mornings on the balcony taking in the incredible panoramas and afternoons tracing the winding village streets, to evenings chatting in the lounge over trays of nibbles and wine, every moment of your holiday will be one to cherish. And we haven’t even mentioned the river cruises, coastal walks, dog-friendly pubs and abundance of nearby attractions either…

The perfect home for up to seven people and two dogs, this self-catering property combines plenty of space with welcoming, familiar vibes. Adopting an upside-down design, you enter the property on the first floor and from here step into the kitchen/conservatory. A lovely space to socialise from breakfast ‘til bedtime, the kitchen enjoys quirky angles and sits adjacent to the lounge/diner. Dig into meals of homecooked fodder as your four-legged friends nibble on treats of their own and later, once the plates have been popped in the dishwasher, take a pew on one of the comfortable sofas. When tiredness kicks in, you will be able to find the property’s four stylish bedrooms on the ground floor.

Heading outside to the balcony from the lounge/diner, you are invited to drink in the views cuddled up on the outdoor seating. Get comfy with a book or switch to the alternate decked garden, complete with its own pond, and watch as your pups’ heads follow the mesmeric to’ing and fro’ing of dragon flies. Located at the top of the village, the local shop, dog-friendly pub and quay are within 0.5 miles. Although you could easily spend your holiday enjoying the sights and sites nearby, you can also hop on the ferry to Fowey or drive to nearby beauty spots, including dog-friendly Talland Bay (9 miles).

  • Polruan is a quaint little village situated on a very steep hill, so access to some parts of the village can be challenging.
  • Many of the amenities, ferries and cottages in Polruan are accessed via steps/ slopes some of which can be steep. Please contact us if you have specific requirements.
  • There are many small winding streets in and around Polruan, some of which are not suitable for cars.
  • Arrival: 16:00 onwards
  • Departure: before 10:00, unless otherwise stated in your arrival details
  • 2 dogs allowed. Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week
  • There is an Accidental Damage Deposit of £250 when booking at this property, however this may be waived for £30. We’ll provide more details about this when booking your holiday.

We had a lovely stay at this property over Xmas . It was large enough for 6 adults and 2 dogs. The views are stunning as high up on the hill. Lots of walks available weather permitting but be aware the hill is steep. Charlotte from local management company extremely helpful with pre trip queries and small issues during our stay.

A warm and welcoming house with amazing views. Very well equipped kitchen . Good value for money, with the added bonus of parking outside the property. A perfect retreat for my family and two dogs. We would love to come back!

Spinnaker has everything you need for a relaxing, peaceful holiday. The view is spectacular! A lovely place to relax and unwind in comfort, stunning house and fully equipped with everything anyone could need for a quality holiday. We stayed as a couple (and two small dogs) but this house would be a great choice for a large family holiday.

A comfortable spacious property with great views and outstandingly stunning sunsets! We felt it was a good central location, not far from many points of interest (using the car ferry at Fowey makes most journeys even shorter) Felt the garden could be more dog friendly. There's an unfenced living pond in the centre of the deck. There's no outside liRead moreght either, but we managed ok with a torch. Still the dogs enjoyed the balcony views too. Hide

Would certainly recommend this property. The views over the estuary to Fowey are breath taking and the sunsets amazing. Well equipped and very clean.

I would recommend this property for it's comfort, spaciousness and outstanding views of Polruan and Fowey. Even watching the rain is enchanting. Polruan has sea and estuary delights. Plenty of fun to be had on the water and wonderful walks from the house. A lovely warm family home. Beware of steep hills!

Having to wait until 6pm to get into the cottage was very disappointing as it was clear no cleaning or checks had been done before arrival.

The cottage was lovely and well equipped. There was everything we needed and the views were amazing. It was spacious, warm and comfortable. The area is quiet with two small shops and two pubs. Just be aware the landscape has steep streets and roads, so may not be suitable for those with mobility issues.

Spinnaker is a great base from which to explore Cornwall. The house is spacious with the most stunning view across the harbour to Fowey.
