This beautiful home occupies the ground floor and part of the first floor of a grand house close to Lake Windermere. Tucked away in a secluded corner of the Lake District in the hamlet of Cunsey, it serves as the perfect base to explore the rolling hills, hidden valleys, soaring mountains and beautiful waters nearby. Sleeping six humans and two canines, the whole family is invited to enjoy the endless walkies and treats this stunning area has to offer. Spend the day stretching your two or four legs around the local lake before returning home to relax in the private patio area with a glass of wine and a fantastic view.
Rest weary rambling legs on the comfortable sofa as your worn-out pup snores blissfully in front of the crackling fire. Rustle up a tasty meal in the modern kitchen, where original beams blend seamlessly with a contemporary decor. Enjoy a family supper around the dining table, then open up maps and plan tomorrow’s adventures whilst Fido sniffs around the garden. Watch as the stars come out in the clear night sky, signalling time for bed. Take your pick of one of the three beautifully decorated bedrooms, two being found on the ground floor and one on the first floor.
Make your way to Claife Heights (2.5 miles) and enjoy the endless lake views and waterside walks. The lakeshore path between Wray Castle and Claife viewing station is a traffic-free route with plenty of opportunities for paws and toes to paddle. Your rambling will be rewarded with stunning vistas across Windermere from the first-floor platform in the viewing station. Take a paws at the dog-friendly cafe there for some sustenance for the walk home.
