Brimming with charm, this striking stone and flint property is ideally situated in the Victorian coastal town of Ventnor. Sleeping six guests across three bedrooms, this homely escape is perfect for families or small groups of friends holidaying with their favourite canine companion. Beach-loving pups will delight in scrambling over rocks and crashing through waves on the dog-friendly shores of Steephill Cove (1.5 miles), before curling up for an afternoon snooze in the roar of the wood burner.

Set over four floors, this delightful seaside property boasts a spacious interior. Enjoy wooden textures, bright social spaces, and sweeping sea views. Unravel outer layers and towel off sandy paws in the gothic-style entrance. Pad into the lounge and flop down onto the plush sofa to graze through a nibble board. Throw another log on the wood burner to chase away the winter chill then set the mood with a crowd-pleasing playlist on the music system. Step into the airy dining space and slide onto the leather chairs to enjoy a feast with all the pack. Venturing downstairs, sneak a treat to your hungry hound in the kitchen then freshen up any sandy doggy gear in the utility area. Upstairs, indulge in a restorative evening soak in the claw-foot tub before turning in for the night. Choose from a spacious king-size with sea views, an elegant king-size, and a twin. Outside, discover an abundance of coastal paths and hidden coves for dewy morning walkies.

Embark on a saunter along the rugged coast to glimpse the towering structure of St Catherine’s Lighthouse (5 miles). Set Fido’s senses alight as you sniff out the tropical plants of Ventor Botanic Garden (1.5 miles) then perch on an outdoor terrace in Ventor Haven (1 mile) and admire the fisherman’s boats bobbing in the harbour. ?

A lovely cottage over four floors with fairly steep stairs. Be prepared to walk from where your car is parked as parking on the road outside is limited! Beautifully furnished, nice location, comfortable beds.

Beautiful cottage in the most perfect location for Ventnor and all it has to offer. Super comfy beds and facilities and everything was there you needed. Managed to street park without a problem. So many lovely features in the property made it very special - full of history.

Our stay was just what we needed ,the house is very comfortable . I was pleased there was a table and chairs in the kitchen as it it difficult to climb up the stairs with a hot meal in your hands. The beds are comfortable so sleeping was easy. Beautiful bathroom .Parking was a problem some days as like everywhere on the island, but managed to park Read morein walking distant. I should have read about the amount of stairs but we managed. Hide

Huish house is impressive. Full of character with lots of interesting original features, although not suitable for small children or people with mobility problems. Maybe we were just lucky but we had no problems with parking. Parked 50 yards away on arrival and then directly opposite the house for the rest of the week. There is a bus stop very closRead moree by with regular buses. We went to two lovely dog friendly cafes in Ventnor (Shells and Two Cooks) and can recommend both. Hide

Not suitable for young children or people with mobility issues as there is a lot of stairs which are quite narrow, also as there is no outside space the property opens straight on to the busy main road and there is not a pathway on the same side as the property, this also makes it difficult for dogs. Parking outside the property or in the immediateRead more vicinity was impossible, therefore unloading when we arrived and loading when we left proved difficult. Hide
