Enjoying a tranquil rural location on the owner’s farm and surrounded by picturesque countryside, this holiday home is perfect for families - especially those with a furry friend. At the edge of the extensive grounds a gate gives you direct access to a network of footpaths to explore, while on-site there are plenty of open spaces where you and the dog can enjoy a game of fetch.
The single-storey, wheelchair-friendly barn conversion offers plenty of space to relax and unwind, with inviting sofas and a warming wood burner luring you into the cosy open-plan living area. Here you’ll also find a vaulted ceiling and exposed beams, adding to its countryside charm. Both bedrooms benefit from en-suite facilities and offer a comfortable spot to lay your head and rest ahead of another day of adventure. Throw open the patio doors, which lead out to the private, unenclosed garden area - a great spot for al fresco drinks. You also have full access to the grounds, shared with the three other properties within the complex; enjoy lakeside walks (just make sure Fido doesn’t dive in!), go for a dip in the indoor heated pool, and let the kids run wild in the children’s play area.
When you’re not exploring the footpaths with your four-legged friend, head further afield to the Cranborne Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (20 miles to its western edge), where you’ll find 380 square miles of countryside to discover: from rolling chalk grassland and downland hillsides to ancient woodlands and chalk river valleys. Dorset is also famed for its World Heritage Jurassic Coast, which lies a 30-mile drive from the property and boasts dozens of dog-friendly sandy and pebble beaches and an abundance of coastal walks.
