Lounge in a lodge with far-reaching views of the Devon countryside and coastline and numerous great walking routes from the front door. Whitsand beach is less than a mile away down a steep cliff path and allows dogs all year round, so you can adventure during the day and be welcomed home by a bubbling hot tub.
Set within a holiday park, the entrance of this property is at the bottom of a slope. An attractive decking wraps around the entire lodge and features both a hot tub and table and chairs so you can enjoy the panoramic views. Inside, there is a snug living room where you can curl up in front of the fire with the TV to entertain you. Set your alarm for before sunrise to catch spectacular golden-hour views, whip up a tasty breakfast in the well-equipped kitchen then head out with your four-legged friend for a brisk morning walk. Guests are welcome to use the holiday park’s leisure facilities, which include an indoor heated pool open year round, a games room, café and shop.
This is the perfect base for exploring some of South Devon’s most glorious beaches, golden sandy stretched where your dog can dig, play and run to their heart’s content. Kingsand, 2.5 miles away, is a small east-facing beach of sand and shingle, sheltered and perfect for sniffing through rock pools. If you somehow tire of the sea, you can head into Plymouth (10 miles away via the Torpoint ferry) and hide away in one of the many cosy pubs that welcome dogs.
