The large seaside property sleeps up to seven guests plus one dog and boasts fabulous waterside views from many of its rooms. As well as the sandy beach, you and your canine companion will have access to a wide variety of both coastal and countryside walks, plus some great dog-friendly local attractions.
This immaculately presented cottage is warm and welcoming and offers a real home from home experience, thanks to its cosy bedrooms and large comfy sofas. The spacious kitchen/diner, with hard floors and handy bi-fold doors onto the courtyard, is the perfect place for your dog to make themselves at home. The property comes with ample outdoor space, including a fully enclosed lawned garden – perfect for the woofer – and a patio area with delightful views of the sand dunes and beach.
The four-legged guest will love Instow: most of the beach is dog-friendly (just look out for restrictions along the main seafront) and they can have a good sniff around in the dunes and rock pools. From here you can also access the traffic-free Tarka Trail. A nice flat stroll for 3 miles takes you to Fremington Quay, where you can sit outside at the cafe and enjoy a delicious wedge of homemade cake. Many local attractions are geared up for furry visitors. The Milky Way Adventure Park (13.5 miles away) is a fantastic all-weather family attraction, with plenty of rides and displays, and dogs on leads are permitted on much of the site. The nearby beach of Westward Ho! (5 miles away) also makes a great day out. Dog restrictions apply to the first part of the beach, but the 2 miles of sand makes it easy to escape the crowds and allows the hound to have a good run around and a splash in the sea.
