This cottage has everything you need for a cosy retreat in the countryside. Situated close to the sea, the coastal villages of Bamburgh, Beadnell and Alnmouth make great days out for you and your loved ones. There is also a dog friendly café round the corner from the property which is ideal for you and your furry friends to visit. The property itself welcomes up to six guests plus the option to bring along your four-legged friend, so no one gets to miss out on the adventures. With a slide in the garden and table football inside, there is plenty of fun to be had at the property as well.

Set over two floors, the upstairs of this property is where you’ll find the three bedrooms which all offer fantastic views out to the countryside. The bathroom, complete with bath and separate shower, can be found on the first floor, too. Downstairs, the large lounge/diner area is a great social space. Relax into the comfortable sofas or pull up a chair and enjoy a glass of red in front of the wood burner. The traditional kitchen area, complete with contemporary features, is perfect for rustling up an evening meal. After dinner, enjoy a bit of competitive fun with the table football or venture outside to the picnic bench to soak up the last of the evening sunshine.

Embleton, 4 miles away, is home to Embleton Bay, a long stretch of golden sandy beach overlooked by Dunstanburgh Castle. Enjoy throwing sticks through the dunes before heading to the village’s dog-friendly pub for a bite to eat or a refreshing drink. Seahouses harbour (10 miles) and is a great spot to sit and watch the boats. A boat from here will take you to the Farne Islands, a great day out for animal lovers as the island is home to a variety of bird and seal colonies.

Had a really lovely holiday. The cottage was very warm and cosy and had everything we needed. There was a fantastic dog walk very close by and easy driving distance to explore beaches. We would definitely stay here again!

Great location and walks from the door a real bonus. Bed was so comfortable with luxury bedding. Downstairs furniture also very comfortable. Once hedge cut in back garden the view was amazing, beautiful views across open countryside can be seen from upstairs. Had everything you needed to make meals. So peaceful, had a wonderful stay.

Great base for exploring Northumberland. Cottage clean and had everything you needed, although some of the equipment needed upgrading. However did not spoil our experience. Recommendations: Mumbai Indian restaurant in Alnwick. Dirty Bottles pub in Alnwick, did not eat here but menu looked good. Craster Arms pub in Beadnell, good food. Picture of front of house needs updating. The bed layout in the middle bedroom means you have to climb over the beds to get to the window, really should be a single or have bunkbeds. Neither of the toilets have washbasins (although hand sanitiser is provided), the upstairs toilet is at the opposite end of the landing to the bathroom, so you have waRead morelk past the bedrooms to get from one to the other, something to consider if you have light sleepers staying. On arrival, disappointed to find that the cottage hadn't had a proper clean. The cottage really needs some TLC but perhaps this will happen once the building works are finished. Location is good and The Rocking Horse cafe is just along the road, great food and dog friendly. Low Newton beach lovely for walking the dogs in the evening.

The cottage is in a lovely location, within easy reach of fantastic beaches, Alnwick, boat trips and great walks. It is very handy for the A1 but also in a very peaceful rural setting. There is a fantastic cafe just along the road. It is spacious and the living area downstairs is very comfortable, with a modern kitchen. Parking is straightforward.
