Escape the hustle of everyday life with a tranquil seaside escape. This charming cottage is located on the coastal path between Seahouses (0.5 miles) and Beadnell (1.5 miles), making it perfect for outdoor-loving families and their sand-loving hound. Sleeping four across 2 bedrooms, and with a light-filled conservatory and garden, there’s space here for everyone to relax and unwind.
Entering the property from the rear garden, you’ll find yourself in the welcoming open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Cook up a storm in the kitchen while the rest of the family chat beside you at the dining table. If it’s sunny, step outside into the south-facing, lawned garden and patio, which makes the perfect spot for al fresco dining. When your bellies are full, retreat to the cosy lounge area where, on cold nights, you’ll take great delight in firing up the wood burner in the stone-built feature fireplace. If you’re after even more serenity, soak up the garden view in the large conservatory — an idyllic spot to curl up with Fido and a good book. A wrought-iron spiral staircase takes centre stage on the ground floor, leading to the three bedrooms – two doubles which boast gorgeous views of the garden and a single. Please note that due to the staircase, the cottage is not suitable for children under five years old.
Explore the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and visit the many quaint villages it boasts. Head to Bamburgh (3.5 miles) and explore the grounds of its famous castle or take a short drive to Low Newton-by-the-Sea or Embleton (both 7 miles). Seahouses’ thriving harbour is just under 1 mile away, offering cruises around the Farne Islands where you and your four-legged friend can spot the local wildlife.
