Large families with young children will be delighted to arrive at this spacious converted barn. And your happy hound will be howling with joy when he sees the size of the garden! While Fido plays with his favourite ball on the enclosed lawn, the rest of the pack can sit back and soak up the views of Beadnell Bay, a sandy beach which welcomes dogs all year round.
The open-plan living area includes a comfortable lounge, plus a fully-equipped kitchen and dining table to seat eight. On summer days, throw open the French doors and let Fido and the kids enjoy the huge enclosed rear garden with a trampoline and football goal. Get out the garden games including swing ball, croquet and badminton while you prepare lunch - or better still fire up the BBQ and dine alfresco. On colder days, snuggle up in front of the wood burner with a film, while the children delve into the large collection of toys and books. The en-suite master bedroom in the eaves is a serene haven, with far-reaching countryside views, and light flooding in from the double Velux window.
The cottage is only 300 metres from the sandy expanse of Beadnell Bay; where you can enjoy lazy summer beach days, blustery winter walks, or get everyone out on the water at the sailing club. It’s 2 miles along the coast to the colourful fishing village of Seahouses, where you can take a boat trip to the Farne Islands to spot puffins and grey seals, browse the gift shops or try your luck in the amusements. Guests have access to a private leisure club in the village where you can enjoy a swim or relax with one of the spa treatments. Further afield, Dunstanburgh Castle ruins (8 miles) are a great place for everyone to explore, canine members included of course.
