A traditional Northumberland fisherman’s cottage in the centre of Seahouses, one of the most popular fishing villages in the Northumberland Coast AONB. Only 3.5 miles from Bamburgh Castle and enjoying easy access to an impressive range of cultural, historic and natural sites, this dog- and family-friendly cottage features a bright lounge/diner, a spacious kitchen and a small enclosed patio garden.
The two-storey cottage is located in the heart of the village, close to the numerous attractions along its coast and harbour. Finished to a high standard, the charming cottage retains many original features including exposed stone walls and ceiling beams. The lounge/diner features a cosy wood burner and is a great place to curl up in front of with a dog at your feet, whether that’s with a good book or evening film for company. The kitchen has plenty of space for cooks on two and four paws to experiment with local ingredients. When it’s time to call it a night, leave the dog to snooze downstairs as you head to the comfort of either the king-size bedroom or the twin bedroom on the first floor. The latter leads to a small enclosed decked area which, like the enclosed patio garden, is a fantastic place to chill after a long day exploring the coast.
Seahouses is a bustling fishing village packed with dog-friendly pubs, shops and cafes. Many a restaurant serves the day’s catch, which you and the dog can watch being brought ashore at the harbour. The village beach (1 mile) is typical of the shorelines that stretch along the Northumberland Coast, with historic sites like the dog-friendly Bamburgh Castle (3.5 miles) well worth the walk.
