Peacefully located on the picturesque Northumberland coast, this stone cottage is ideally located for beachfront walkies. Soak up the sea view from the comfort of the first-floor lounge, with both Bamburgh Castle (3.5 miles) and the Farne Islands also visible. Sleeping six across three charming bedrooms, and with ample space for two furry friends, a tranquil and picture-perfect holiday awaits you.
The cottage has been thoughtfully designed with an inverted layout to take advantage of those incredible views. On the ground floor, you’ll find the three bedrooms – one double bedroom, one twin, and one bunk bedroom, perfect for children – all cosily decorated with a gentle nautical theme. Head upstairs to the first floor and relax in the airy open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, where floor-to-ceiling windows let the natural light pour in. In the colder months, you and your four-pawed pals will be delighted to find the wood burner-effect electric fire, nestled beside the comfortable seating; why not unwind here after a day of adventure for a family film night? Alternatively, the village pub, which is within walking distance, has a delightful beer garden that Fido and Mutley will love — the perfect spot for summer evenings.
Explore the pretty Seahouses harbour before jumping aboard a pleasure boat and cruise around the glorious Farne Islands, spotting the seals and seabirds on your journey; hounds are welcome aboard the boat, but not on the island itself. Venture to the Northumberland National Park (21.5 miles), which boasts the cleanest air in England, and go mutts for the many walking and stick-chasing routes. It also forms part of Northumberland International Dark Sky Park, making it the best place in England for stargazing!
