Set in the heart of the Kent countryside, this charming cottage sleeps up to six guests plus two dogs. You’ll be within easy reach of many fantastic dog-friendly local attractions, as well as quaint market towns and villages and numerous beautiful walks from your doorstep. There’ll be something to keep the whole group entertained, especially the four-legged members.
As you enter the property there’s a hallway to store all your dog-walking gear and muddy boots, and from there you move into the light and airy lounge/diner. With two comfy sofas and an armchair, it’s a great spot to curl up with the hounds after a long walk. The kitchen has hard floors and opens out onto the garden, making it the perfect place for your canine chums to set up camp. The fully enclosed garden is ideal for dogs, as it has a large grassed area and a gate at the bottom with direct access to a footpath – great for a quick pre-breakfast stroll.
Just 7 miles away is the pretty market town of Tenterden and from here you can all (including the woofers) step back in time and catch the steam train to Bodiam Castle, where dogs can join you in exploring the grounds. This is also a gorgeous spot for a picnic on a summer’s afternoon. The wine connoisseurs amongst the group might like to take a trip to one of the local vineyards dotted throughout the area. Family-run Biddenden Vineyards, 5 miles away, makes for a great group day out and dogs are welcome on leads.
