Located between the popular towns of Buxton and Bakewell, this fabulous four-bedroom property is perfect for families or friends, including furry ones, seeking a comfortable base from which to explore the attractions of the Peak District. There are many picturesque walks straight from the doorstep, including Monsal Dale, Millers Dale and High Dale. Priestcliffe Lees Nature Reserve (3 miles) offers woodland walks and breathtaking views across the valley as you follow the trails through the fragrant flowers.

Approached through the beautiful garden, your charming cottage will have you barking with joy at its warm and welcoming accommodation, blending original features with contemporary style. Rustle up family meals in the farmhouse-style kitchen to enjoy in the inviting dining room where your hound can snooze in front of the wood burner as you linger over supper. Climb a few steps and unwind in the restful living room where you can sink into one of the comfortable sofas and watch TV, or curl up with a good book in the study, where you will find a second wood burner. Upstairs are the four well-appointed bedrooms and family bathroom. Venturing outside, tails will wag at the large garden with lawn and mature trees. Let your hound sniff out their favourite shady spot as you enjoy an al fresco drink around the fire pit.

With spectacular countryside walks on the doorstep, this is the perfect location to holiday with your hound. Make sure you buy one of the famous puddings in Bakewell (6.5 miles) as you and your canine companion explore the medieval town. Have a ball as you and your furry friends ride the vintage tram at Crich Tram Museum (21 miles). Hop off to discover the woodland walk and the sculpture trail. White Cottage is delightful - this was our second visit. Nb the bottom shelf of the fridge is very fragile and falls out We loved the cottage the above is only constructive and thank you for allowing our four dogs. Please do note there is a whole in the fence on the left through which dogs could escape if they wanted to but the garden is beautiful in an enviable position.
