Two large sofas surround a rug and the eye-catching exposed stone inglenook fireplace with a wood burner. Continue into the bright and airy kitchen with contrasting original and contemporary features – beneath the wooden beamed ceiling is a glossy white and grey fitted ‘L’-shaped kitchen unit. To one side of the room is a French chic dining table with seating for six. Also on the ground floor, you’ll find a shower room with a walk-in shower. Climb the stairs to reach a family bathroom plus three bedrooms –two king-size and a twin room. Outside you can relax on the patio while dining alfresco, play games on the lawned paddock and explore the grounds of the estate which contains a private lake shore area.
Start your day with a stroll around the estate grounds and take Fido for a dip in Coniston Water (less than 0.5 miles). Here you’ll also find a jetty from which you can launch your own sailing boat. Put on your hiking boots and explore the rugged Old Man of Coniston mountain range (4 miles) or the Grizedale Forest (5.5 miles). For a meal out or to pick up some essentials head into Coniston village (1.5 miles).
