Return home from long walks with your canine companion to this gorgeous cottage in Kentmere, in the heart of the Lake District. Sleeping two guests, the one-bedroom, stone retreat captures sweeping views out across the verdant national park and sits in beautiful gardens where you and your furry friend can stroll in the sunshine.
Open the front door to this charming holiday home in this picturesque location. Rub your cheerful chum down in the boot room down after wet walks and leave your jacket and his lead hanging in here. Usher him through to the country kitchen to warm himself beside the AGA as you dish up his well-earned dinner and start preparing a wholesome meal for you and your partner to enjoy at the table, perhaps while watching TV. After dinner, fire up the wood burner through in the lounge and settle down to a good film or listen to some music as you pet your contented canine and show him some puppy love. Wake up to glorious views from the king-size bedroom upstairs, where the family bathroom is also situated, then take your pal out to wander round the beautiful garden with you before breakfast. There is parking for two cars at this cottage.
Head out on foot with your pal at your heel to explore the beautiful valley. Drive 9 miles into Bowness-on-Windermere, with its dog-friendly pubs, to enjoy a meal out and perhaps take a cruise out on the lake with your furry friend along too. Enjoy the scenery from the water then disembark at the Lakeside jetty to walk through woodland and meadows before catching a steam train, on which your favourite friend can rest his weary paws, back along the heritage Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway to Bowness.
