Despite its quaint and traditional appearance, this cottage has a stylishly decorated interior and is a thoroughly modern base for a romantic walking holiday. Sleeping two and two dogs, come here to relax and unwind near the wonderful Lake Windermere.
Well decorated with natural wood and chic soft furnishings, the open-plan living area is the ideal space for two (or four, when you count your four-legged pals). The kitchen is modern and spacious, so you can fuel up before embarking on a wide range of nearby walking routes. A sofa looks onto a TV which is equipped with a Blu-ray player, while French doors in this area lead onto a small walled patio, giving your dogs the freedom to wander in and out. The bathroom is a luxurious space which features a free-standing bath, ideal for unwinding after a long day of walkies. Up a narrow ladder-style staircase, you’ll find the mezzanine bedroom, which has low ceilings and exposed beams, as well as a skylight which allows light to pour into the room over the comfy double bed. Your dog may struggle to get up these stairs, but that might give you just a little bit of much-needed privacy!
You’ll find Lake Windermere only 4 miles away which, as the largest lake in England, is sure to offer you an abundance of walks that your dogs could only dream of. For a more relaxing trip across the water, the Windermere Lake Cruises offer you spectacular Lakeland views and a unique way of seeing the area, and seaborne dogs are welcome free of charge. A 10-mile trip to the nearby town of Kendal is a wonderful day out when you need a day off from long hikes. Kendal offers a wealth of shops, pubs and restaurants, and many of its attractions are dog friendly.
