This charming, traditional cottage, situated in one of southern England’s most picturesque national parks, makes the perfect getaway for friends, family, and their beloved canine companion. Sleeping seven across four warm and cosy bedrooms, you’ll wake to incredible views of the famous New Forest ponies grazing close by. Don’t forget to pack your walking boots, with a footpath at the end of the lane meandering to Lyndhurst village (1 mile), while the Forest itself offers plenty of space to explore.
Relax your feet and paws after a day of discovery in the welcoming snug room, lapping up the luxury of a little quiet time. You’ll also find a more spacious, light-filled lounge area that’s great for socialising, so why not curl up with a drink and plan the next day’s adventure? After all that excitement, we’re not sure who will be more hungry--you or your hound--so head into the classic country-style kitchen and prepare a feast the whole family will enjoy. On summer nights, bask in the fresh country air as Fido plays in the enclosed garden. Then, when you’re ready for a well-earned snooze, head up the cottage-style staircase to the first floor where you’ll find all four comfortable bedrooms, including three doubles and one twin.
Spend your days discovering exactly why so many people fall in love with the New Forest, walking the open moors and cliff tops, journeying through heathland and woodland, and visiting the idyllic glades. When you aren’t exploring on foot, you’ll find a wealth of attractions just a short drive away, from the golf courses at Lyndhurst (1.5 miles) and Bramshaw (5.5 miles) to the award-winning and dog-friendly Exbury Gardens (10 miles). Lymington is close by too (10 miles); from here, catch a ferry to the Isle of Wight.
