If you’ve got an upcoming celebration planned, you’ve found your venue. This stunningly renovated cottage, which sleeps eight (plus a very lucky dog), has been designed with luxury in mind. It sits on a rise, overlooking the River Teifi, with special features built into the rooms to relish the view, including a glass-walled raised patio and your own private hot tub.
Arrive at a road-level landing, tucked into the landscape. This is where your bedrooms are — two sumptuous doubles, each with an additional single bed, and the master, a spacious en-suite double with a bath and separate shower. Head down onto the main level of the house and you’ll find the vast, sunlit living area, a dining table perfect for those long, holiday meals and snug sofas arranged around a wood burner. French doors lead out to a raised, wrap-around patio big enough to party on. The best bit — the views. As you sit, eat, watch Fido playing on the grass, or recline in the hot tub, the whole landscape lays before you, the river winding around the rolling hills.
Your local pub is less than half a mile away and perfect for making yourself at home in the area. But you’re going to want to explore further too — an 11-mile drive will take you to the coastal resort of Aberporth, where your pup can roam the sheltered sands of Cardigan Bay and its surrounding cliff walks. Or take a visit to the waterfalls of Cenarth, famous for its leaping salmon, just 9 miles east. Village houses and the magnificent ruin of Cilgerran Castle sit stonily around the River Teifi for a medieval wander.
