The picturesque town of Whitstable has everything you need for a fantastic British holiday including a delightful harbour, a beautiful shingle beach, and delicious seafood straight from the sea – fresh oysters are a local delicacy! Based less than a mile from the seafront, this traditional cottage sleeps six guests across three stylish bedrooms with plenty of room for two sandy-pawed companions.
The interior is fresh and full of natural light, immaculately decorated and finished with soothing homely details, from nautical-themed accessories to cheerful artwork and cushions. The galleried kitchen is the perfect place to sip a glass of bubbly as you prepare a leisurely dinner, illuminated by pretty fairy lights. The open-plan lounge and dining area is a haven for relaxing, letting sleeping dogs lie by the fire as you rest your weary feet. Meals can be enjoyed around the table in the dining area, and a charming courtyard offers an atmospheric spot for al fresco dining. At bedtime, climb the open tread staircase to discover the bedrooms, each thoughtfully furnished and cosy allowing sweet dreams. The bathroom is handily located downstairs; much less hassle after your waggy-tailed friend has spent the afternoon in the sea.
Tucked in the heart of Whitstable, there is an abundance of exciting things to do from your doorstep. Sniff out the best places to eat along the harbour; many of the eateries are dog-friendly and will eagerly welcome four-legged visitors. The Old Neptune (0.5 miles) is right on the beach and often has live music - be sure to find out more about its quirky history too. Tankerton Beach (1 mile away) is brilliant for those who love to swim, surf and sail, but if you prefer a quieter pace of life there are beach huts for hire, complete with everything you need to enjoy a brew.
