Imagine taking your dear dog on a long walk through the stunning Worcestershire countryside, taking the time to throw her favourite ball as many times as she asks. She’ll be so tired and happy, all she’ll want to do is curl up in her basket and dream of catching sheep. Stay at this beautiful character cottage on the edge of the Malvern Hills and that’s precisely what your holiday will look like. The house, a quarry man’s cottage with spectacular views, is perfect if you’re a small family or group of friends with one four-legged family member.

The house has an open-plan lounge/kitchen where you can relax and socialise. The decor is colourful and stylish and the atmosphere cosy. The most picturesque part of the house is perhaps the dining room, which has windows on three sides offering vistas of the surrounding countryside. There’s plenty of outside space, too – on a sunny day, take breakfast out onto the patio for a pretty start to the day. This area has a table and chairs and overlooks the vibrant garden which has a lawn for Rover to roll around on. Cook up a feast on the charcoal BBQ and sling your hopeful pet a sausage or two – it is holiday time, after all!

Malvern is a lively town where you’ll find several dog-friendly pubs as well as markets with plenty of interesting scents to sniff. In the surrounding area, you won’t be short of footpaths and bridleways for burning off all that doggy energy. If you fancy a cultural day out, head to Eastnor Castle (9 miles) which, unlike many UK stately homes, welcomes dogs in the house as well as the grounds – as long as they stay on a lead.

  • 2 Bedrooms – doubles
  • 1 Bathroom
  • Electric oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine
  • Off-road parking for 1 car
  • Pubs and shops within walking distance
  • Charcoal BBQ available
  • TV in lounge
  • Regret no children under 14 years
  • Arrival: 16:00 onwards
  • Departure: before 10:00, unless otherwise stated in your arrival details
  • 1 dog allowed. Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week
  • There is an Accidental Damage Deposit of £200 when booking at this property, however this may be waived for £25. We’ll provide more details about this when booking your holiday.

Great cottage in a central, picturesque town and area. The owners have thought everything through and have a helpful back up with Gareth.

The location of the cottage is really great - minutes from the hill walks at the top of the road, a pleasant stroll to the centre of Great Malvern and similar to Malvern Links train station which we used for good walks from Colwall. The cottage was comfortable and very clean. The garden was lovely and we enjoyed the conservatory and terrace. WelcomRead moree pack appreciated and boot trays. From previous reviews we were expecting the parking space to be tight and it was - pleased we only had a Picanto. Hide

Great little place. Tight parking outside but you can do it if you are determined enough. Great enclosed garden for doggy. Bottom of North hill 2 minutes away and can walk for hours if you like. Very near centre of Malvern which is full of beautiful , nice people. We cooked, we walked, we ate out and we jolly well enjoyed it.

We really enjoyed our stay at Pump Cottage which had everything we needed for a weekend break. It's tastefully furnished and clean. We loved the small garden and made use of the garden furniture when the sun finally came out! It's only a 20 min walk into Malvern.

Loved the cosy quirky layout of the cottage which has great views over the vale from the garden. A lovely, comfortable place to stay- thank you. A special thank you to Mr Morgan for going above and beyond for us. We arrived by train so the welcome goodies were especially appreciated. The cottage is comfortable, attractive & well-located. A dishwasher & esp. darkening curtains/screens in the bedrooms would be very welcome (the morning light disturbs your sleep). The garden (room) & terrace are great. We spent a lot of time there. The P on the steep street is small & tough to park a larger car in.
