This highly attractive period cottage is in the heart of the bustling seaside village of Nefyn and makes the perfect base for exploring the North Wales coast and countryside. It’s about half a mile from the village’s sandy beach, which is 2 miles long and dog-friendly. When you get bored of that, there are endless walking trails to follow right out of the front door, with no need to drive to take the dogs out for a run-around.
Inside, the property is spacious and light, with lots of home comforts. There is a roomy lounge with a beamed ceiling and a wood burner, perfect for cosying up around at the end of a hard day’s stick chasing. There’s a good-sized kitchen/diner with a family dining table and a lovely sunroom ideal for afternoons curled up with a book with the dogs at your feet. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms, sleeping five in total. Outside is a gorgeous garden with a BBQ, patio furniture, lawn and fruit trees.
You’ll find plenty to do in Nefyn itself, with lots of pubs, shops and restaurants to explore. The Llyn Peninsula offers miles of walking along cliffs, through sandy bays and past pretty fishing harbours. There are lots to keep both four-legged and two-legged family members occupied along the way. The Snowdonia National Park, with its endless trails, hills and views, is around 20 miles away. The little Italianate village of Portmeirion is 21 miles away and makes a fantastic day out, with its own harbour and beaches to explore.
