Located in the Old Town, there are plenty of independent shops, pubs and cafes and it’s the perfect base for family holidays by the sea. Eastbourne is the start of the South Downs Way, and you can walk right from Eastbourne Beach into the countryside. However energetic your dog, they won’t fail to be worn out!
Step inside and you’ll find yourself in a light, bright cottage that marries contemporary style with rural charm perfectly. There are lots of nooks and crannies to curl up in with a dog and a good book, and plenty of light and space. There is an open-plan living area with wooden floors. The lounge area has comfy seating and the kitchen has a family dining table next to a wood burner, set in a stunning traditional fireplace. It’s the perfect spot for relaxing after a bracing beach or downs walk. Upstairs, there are three beautifully furnished bedrooms, sleeping five in total, and a bathroom with a roll-top bath. One of the bedrooms has beautiful South Downs views.
Outside is a pretty patio garden with a table and chairs. While there is plenty to keep you busy in Eastbourne, there are lots more just a little further afield. Beachy Head, with its amazing clifftop walks and views, is just 3 miles away. The attractive secluded beach at Birling Gap, a local favourite, is 5 miles away. Or head inland to the atmospheric county town of Lewes, with its cosy pubs and quirky shops, 15 miles away, or the bustling village of Alfriston, just off the South Downs Way, 8 miles away.
