This upside down stone barn conversion is immersed in the pretty Cornish village of Golant. It has some fabulous shared facilities including a small endless heated pool. For our furry customers the garden is enclosed and, with nose to the ground there are some stunning riverside walks. There are local dogs and tourist dogs to wag tails with and beaches to play ball and catch some waves on. With two bedrooms and bathrooms this place is perfect for sharing, either with the children or a couple of friends.
White-washed stone walls, vaulted ceilings and lots of natural wood features - this perfectly proportioned barn could be straight out of a TV show. Useful wooden floors are perfect for clearing up after sandy paws, while exposed beams and a wood burner give this home character and charm. Outside are the leisure facilities plus a two-seater hot tub in the patio garden, ripe for relaxing in with a glass of bubbles and man’s best friend cooling off after a day of adventures.
In Fowey, 2.5 miles from Golant, there is a regular ferry service across the river to Polruan. Fowey is a doggie haven; explore the coastline and go barking mad with those tails set in wag mode. If you decide to take the riverside walk from your village past the Fisherman’s Arms (great food), do check the tide times or you may get very wet! There is no shop in the village but there are several pubs, a café and a kayak centre. And with plenty of lovely boats trips to choose from, the dogs will grow sea legs for sure!
All facilities now available with sanitising facilities.
