This spacious detached property sleeps up to six guests and one canine companion, making it the perfect destination for a large family gathering or a getaway with friends. Brockenhurst is a beautiful village with bundles of charm and history and the area is home to ponies, deer, donkeys and cows – all of which are known to freely roam the streets! You’ll have the enchanting New Forest at your fingertips, with its incredible 140 miles of tracks and footpaths for you and your furry chum to explore.
The open-plan layout of this cottage makes it a great space for entertaining. You’ll all have plenty of room to spread out and relax during the holiday and on a sunny day, you can pull back the bi-folding doors from the lounge to reveal the enclosed garden, meaning you can keep an eye on the dog without having to move from the sofa! With its outdoor seating and BBQ, you’ll while away many a long summer’s evening in the south-facing garden after a full day of adventure. The property has hard floors throughout – perfect if muddy paws accidentally make it into the cottage. There’s also a handy utility room for sorting any muddy dog walking gear.
From Brockenhurst there are numerous circular walks of varying lengths, taking in the historic parish church, ancient woodlands and the stunning Lymington River (which has a magical secret swimming spot – ask a local for the insider info!). After a long walk – and maybe a swim – you can refuel in one of the many dog-friendly eateries, such as Rosie Lea’s Kitchen or The Snakecatcher. There are some very picturesque towns and villages nearby. The Georgian market town of Lymington (5 miles away) makes for a great day out, with its quaint harbour and fantastic selection of independent shops and cafes.
