Spread over three floors and sleeping up to six humans and one dog, this delightful cottage enjoys an elevated position above Brixham harbour. The views really are something to yap about! It’s ideal for families with young children, who can enjoy boat trips, leisurely strolls along the waterfront and ball games on beaches off the beaten track with their four-legged friend.
Inside, nautical themes run throughout in a nod to Brixham’s fishing heritage. The lounge has a cosy corner sofa where you can snuggle up to watch a DVD, with Rover curled up at your feet. On warm sunny days, throw open the patio doors to sit out on the decked balcony overlooking the harbour. Drink in the views as you enjoy a glass of fizz or salty snack. If you want to prepare a family feast, pick up something for dinner from the local fish market, or if you’d prefer a night off from cooking, head to one of the many pubs and restaurants in town that welcome dogs. On the first floor you’ll find the bathroom and a king-size bedroom with harbour views. The other two bedrooms are on the top floor, including a bunk room for the kids, with plenty of space to store clothes and toys.
See the bay from a different perspective on a relaxing pleasure cruise with all the family. You can also have heaps of swashbuckling fun on the full-size replica of the iconic Golden Hind, one of the town’s most famous landmarks. There are several beaches within a mile of the cottage, including the secluded dog-friendly St Mary’s Bay and Fishcombe Cove, a sheltered beach protected on all sides by tall red cliffs.
