This pretty cottage, situated half a mile’s walk from Brixham Harbour, is in the ideal spot for a relaxing seaside holiday – and the pups can join too! Sleeping five across three quirky bedrooms and with room for up to two dogs, you could all soon be out enjoying a walk along the South West Coast Path or the marina (0.6 miles). Make sure to sniff out the dog-friendly pubs in the town where you can all go for a welcome refreshment after you’ve walked the coast and countryside.
The property, which is a typical fisherman’s cottage, has its own unique style thanks to floral shabby-chic decor. The open-plan living area is fresh and bright with a homely country-cottage style; find everything you need to cook up a storm in the kitchen up a small step before eating at the attractive dining table. After a long day out exploring, sink into the welcoming sofa or chairs in front of the wood burner; the hounds will fight over their favourite spot near the fireplace! Relax in the sumptuous roll-top bath in the bathroom on the first floor, before heading to bed on the first or second floor. Wake up to fantastic sea views, ready to take on the day.
Head out of the hustle and bustle to Fishcombe Cove, just over half a mile away, where the dogs can unleash it all, and can even join the children in the calm waters for a paddle. Shoalstone Beach (1 mile) is another that’s a hit with kids thanks to rock pools, and there’s also a saltwater swimming pool. For stunning clifftop walks, visit Berry Head (2 miles) where you may be lucky enough to spot a rare blue butterfly or dolphins and porpoises in the sea.
