This pretty cottage, situated just 3 miles from the centre of the popular market town of Louth, is ideal for your little family – and that includes the dog! Sleeping four across two peaceful bedrooms, it won’t be long before you’re refreshed and ready to explore the beautiful Wolds countryside. Take a walk along a shallow ford in nearby Little Cawthorpe (7.5 miles), ideal for pups to cool off on a hot summer’s day, before stopping for lunch in the pub next door.

The property, which is one of four cottages situated on 6 acres of privately owned land, is spacious and welcoming. The open-plan living area is fresh and bright, while quaint finishing touches and comfy sofas make it a cosy haven to unwind in after dinner, the hound curled up by your feet. The bedrooms have an inviting feel to them thanks to calming, neutral decor; wake up gently among plenty of natural light and head to the garden for an al fresco breakfast in the large enclosed garden that your canine will love running around in. Or, wander around the owner’s land and sizzle up a BBQ in the wildflower picnic field that lies within the grounds.

You’re in a fantastic spot for coast and country activities that the entire family will love. Enjoy a nostalgic ride on a steam locomotive through the country from the Lincolnshire Wolds Railway (4 miles), where dogs have their own ticket, or pay a visit to Saltfleetby - Theddlethorpe Dunes (14 miles) where the pup can unleash it all and sniff around the beautiful National Nature Reserve. And if you’re craving a bit of city life, Lincoln is only 29 miles away and has plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants for you to peruse.

Honestly one of the nicest host/owners I've met at a holiday rental. The cottage is well equipped and was a very comfortable stay. There's a communal garden with seating provided just outside your cottage, but it was lovely to have a little chat with whoever was staying next door. There's an added bonus of a field that was great to have a kick abouRead moret in with our son and if you have dogs, they've also provided a fenced field so you can let your furry friends run run free. Would recommend a stay! Hide

High quality comfortable cottage, with everything you need. Nice enough area and handy for Louth and Cleethorpes (beach and coast). Friendly and helpful host and welcome pack appreciated. Ideal for a couple and a dog - probably OK for a couple of children too. We felt the living room/breakfast bar might have been a bit cramped for 4 adults.

One of the things that attracted us to this cottage was the dog paddock. What an excellent facility, our pointer loved the fact that she could have off lead time each day. The cottage is well situated for exploring the Lincolnshire Wolds. Louth has an interesting mix of shops particularly delis. The owner, Jane friendly and approachable.

This was our second stay at this cottage. We love the location! Enjoyed good local food and several visits to Sutton on Sea. We enjoyed a much-needed break from our work routines.

Lovely clean cottage for up to 4 but we are 2x50 somethings.. .Great location to explore the Wolds and the Lincolnshire seaside areas by car. Not many facilities in Fotherby itself but there are some lovely walks on the old railway line at the bottom of Peppin Lane which is opposite., and plenty in nearby towns Cottage has 2 bedrooms, one double onRead moree zip together for 2 singles or a king and open plan lounge kitchen diner. Good for most needs. Zip lock may work better as 2 singles. Hide

Comfortable, well equipped cottage in a lovely location! We were blessed with lovely weather for our stay. Being close to Louth was very convenient for eating out and shopping. Added bonus of live bird cam at the church watching the peregrines and their chicks while enjoying coffee and cake! Close enough to both the coast and Lincoln for day trips.Read more Would certainly recommend Montebello restaurant and Lakings bakery/deli for cakes, pastries etc Hide
