Host a special getaway with a group of up to seven other guests plus one four-legged friend in this elegant country house with antique-style furnishings, spacious living areas and a tranquil garden overlooking the Beaulieu River. Spend your time away exploring the New Forest National Park, visit the coast and check out the nearby historical attractions.

From the moment you enter this luxurious property, you’ll notice the unique antique decor, characterful original features and generous space inside. The blue and wooden kitchen has a farmhouse-style appearance with an eye-catching AGA, low-hanging contemporary lights and a breakfast table in the centre of the room. Continue into the bright and airy lounge/diner which has traditional country-style furnishings, a towering grandfather clock, a wood burner and a long, formal dining table. The snug has a contemporary feel with a selection of books to browse plus a TV. Also on the ground floor is a separate WC and a utility room. Upstairs is a family bathroom plus five bedrooms, two with en-suites. Outside you’ll find a well-manicured garden with a BBQ, a jetty on the river, a terrace, a lawned area and a trampoline.

Explore the grounds of the Beaulieu Estate, on which the property is located. Wander along the river or take to the water by kayak or paddleboard. Visit the local art gallery and sniff out the 13th-century Palace House museum (both within 2 miles). Also on your doorstep are the circa-1203 Beaulieu Abbey ruins and an army museum (2 miles). Head to the coast at the North Solent National Nature Reserve (4.5 miles) or see the wildlife and endangered animals of the New Forest Wildlife Park (8 miles).

It was like staying in an ancestral home. All the old books, paintings and wooden furniture made it a special stay. And the history of brick making is also fascinating The extensive garden had birds on bird feeder & lots of pheasants. One early morning a mint jack deer was spotted.

Brickworks is on an excellent location. We loved every minute of our holiday. The house is spacious, special and well equipped.
