This sweet property is tucked away within the grounds of a beautiful country home on the English/Welsh border. From its elevated position, this lovely Shepherd’s hut has magnificent views across the Welsh mountains. It’s an area for history buffs and dog walkers with an abundance of Europe’s surviving castles in the area and the Offa’s Dyke footpath just 9 miles away. Entertain friends and their pooches on the spacious terrace with a glass of wine and home-cooked grub.
The interior of the hut is quaint and open plan, with a lounge, kitchen, dining and sleeping area contained in one space. Brightly coloured accessories and natural woollen throws add a touch of personality to the home. For a restful night’s sleep, step up into the built-in double bed where you’ll be able to catch a glimpse of the stunning mountain range beyond. Two pull-out beds can be used for a family and there is a shower room with shower. A separate ECO WC can be found outside the hut. Off-road parking for two cars is available.
This delightful shepherd’s hut is the perfect place to explore the romantic Norman ruins of Brecon Castle, which overlooks the River Usk (32 miles). For walkers and inquisitive dogs, the location couldn’t be better. You can find plenty of scenic walks along the Offa’s Dyke footpath or take a trip into the historic market town of Hay-on-Wye to get some fresh produce for your evening meals (17.5 miles). The town is a true literary hub, with an annual festival celebrating the art of literature.
