A pretty cottage nestled on a working 35-acre smallholding on the fringe of Bodmin Moor, this property is a great base for couples and canines to escape the hustle and bustle and enjoy a quiet and rural Cornish break. Three people are welcome here and two dogs as standard, though if your family consists of numerous hounds, they are also welcome by pre-arrangement.
The stone barn is full of character, with exposed walls and beams throughout. A wood burner sits in an original fireplace, making the lounge area a cosy and warming spot to relax, whatever the weather has in store. French doors from the pretty double bedroom lead outside to a stunning cottage garden. This area is entirely enclosed, perfect for keen noses to sniff around. Guests will also be able to dine alfresco using the charcoal BBQ and the patio’s garden furniture while admiring the stunning views towards Rough Tor and Bodmin Moor. From the cottage, you can easily explore the farm and surrounding area. Though the property is one level, please note that there are a number of small steps inside and out.
Market town, Camelford is 3 miles, where guests can find a shop, restaurant and a couple of dog-friendly pubs. Tintagel can be reached in 9.5 miles, a popular coastal town set high on the rugged coast. Here, there are plenty of attractions, shops and, most importantly, access to the South West Coast Path where feet and paws can explore some of the most stunning scenic walking routes England has to offer.
