Whether you’re in the area for a mountain hiking retreat or a relaxing country break, this Lake District location offers all you need for the perfect dog walking holiday. You’ll feel like top dog after a night’s sleep in these comfy beds, waking up to morning coffee in the pretty garden and heading out to explore the unbeatable Cumbrian countryside, man’s best friend by your side every step of the way. The home comfortably sleeps seven guests and two canine companions.
This unique property was renovated from two smaller, chocolate-box cottages, creating a unique holiday home filled with original features. To the rear of the property, you’ll find a beautiful garden with a stream meandering past at the bottom. Be sure to keep an eye on unruly pups and younger guests, but feel free to dry off wet paws and chilly children in the handy utility room. Fur can be warmed in front of two wood burners or the ever-toasty AGA, ideal for cosy evenings in after long days out on the hills. In fact, whilst we wish you hot and sunny weather on your countryside break, this home is an exceptionally cosy hub on cold winter’s evenings and you can look forward to nights in with books, board games and sleeping dogs resting dutifully by your side.
Visitors travel far and wide to take in the beautiful landscapes that surround Lake Windermere, and you’ll find this waterside location just 1 mile from your door. Take the lead and head for the water, enjoying a walking route along its shores. You’re within reach of Cumbria’s many fells here in the Lake District, including famed Scafell Pike (30 miles), Old Man of Coniston (8 miles) and Skiddaw (30 miles).
