This charming cottage has plenty of original character and a charming village location in the Worcestershire countryside. Its owners, who live in the adjoining property, invite you into their space for a relaxing stay. The house is suitable for four humans and one canine, so is ideal for a family or small group of friends. If any of your group are enthusiastic walkers, this place is for you – it’s a great base for exploring the Cotswold Way and the Malvern Hills. Four-legged family members, in particular, will adore letting off steam (and maybe even chasing a rabbit or two) in this exciting new setting.
The property has a traditional feel, with gorgeous exposed beams throughout and low ceilings in places. The cosy lounge features sink-in sofas and a fire set in a charming inglenook fireplace – we bet we can guess where Rex will choose to take his after-dinner snooze! Meanwhile, humans can spend the evening catching up on reading or watching a DVD. Meals can be prepared and the pooch fed in the farmhouse-style kitchen, which is equipped with everything you need for a slap-up dinner. There’s an outside space at the front of the house too, where you can enjoy lunches alfresco while the dog chases butterflies nearby.
When it’s time to enjoy a pint, walk down to the local pub in Cleeve Prior which welcomes families, walkers and dogs alike. Blenheim Palace, 28 miles away, is perfect for a day out and allows dogs in its Park, as long as they’re kept on a leash. If you go as a group, you can take it in turns to visit the spectacular palace and courtyards while the others take Rex on one of two dog-friendly walking routes.
