Perfectly situated on the edge of the Lake District National Park, this peaceful holiday lodge is a great escape from everyday life. Sleeping four plus two furry friends, it’s great for families with a love for the outdoors. Explore the many footpaths and trails on the doorstep, hike a nearby mountain, or hire a boat and set sail for a day of adventure.
Set within a private five-acre smallholding, the lodge enjoys on-site fishing directly in front of the property with a permit, as well as a small shared play area for children. Soak up the riverside view from the bright and generous lounge/kitchen/diner – a great spot to unwind after a long day at the Lakes with the pups curled up at your feet. Enjoy a drink or al fresco dinner on the large private decked area which has a table, chairs and a BBQ that’s perfect for those warm summer evenings. The property has three bedrooms: one double, one twin, and a single bedroom which can double up as a fun playroom for the kids.
Spend your days exploring the area, with both the Lakes and the Solway Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty close by. Discover your adventurous side with water sports at the 5-mile stretch of beach around Allonby Bay (11 miles) or embark on a coastal walk; on a clear day you can see as far as the Isle of Man. Cockermouth’s pubs and restaurants are just 1 mile from the lodge, making it a fantastic location for a family dinner.
