This charming property sleeps up to six guests, as well as two four-legged companions. Centrally located, it’s perfect for exploring the region’s north and south coasts. You’ll be within easy reach of several dog-friendly beaches, as well as numerous walks and nature trails through the stunning Cornish countryside. Nearby fishing villages and market towns make for a relaxed day soaking up the quintessential charm of this beautiful part of the world.
You’ll notice many original features within the property, including exposed beams. There are also wooden floors – ideal for muddy paws. There are steps down to the spacious kitchen, from where French doors open onto the enclosed garden, which your furry friends will love exploring. On a warm evening, you can all enjoy this space, as it has plenty of outdoor seating and a BBQ. If the weather’s cooler, you’ll be thankful for the cosy lounge accessed via a step with its open fire, where you can snuggle up with your favourite canine companions curled at your feet. You’ll benefit from the shared heated outdoor swimming pool (open end of May to end of September), tennis courts, games room and utility room and the hounds will be delighted to hear there’s 110 acres of estate to sniff! Due to the current situation the games room will not be available. Tennis racquets and balls will be available for use on the tennis courts but guests are asked to bring their own where possible.
There are some fantastic walks nearby. Why not take the 2-mile coastal path from Polperro (16 miles away) to Talland Bay – a delightful beach, which allows dogs all year round. After your walk enjoy a delicious meal at the local pub, where dogs are greeted with water bowls and biscuits and you can choose from a selection of freshly-caught seafood. A fun day out for everyone is Tamar Valley Donkey Park, which is 15.5 miles away in Gunnislake. Children can feed the animals and dogs on leads are welcome.
