Hang your mutt’s lead in the porch, kick off your walking boots and enter the open-plan living space, which has two steps down from the lounge/diner to the kitchen. You can cook up all sorts of tasty meals here, whether a hearty breakfast or a romantic dinner. After supper grab a book from the shelves and tuck yourselves up on the sofa, or switch on the Smart TV for a binge-worthy drama or favourite film. When it’s time for bed, the king-sized bedroom is completely calm and tranquil, with a beautiful metal bed, ample storage and understated, co-ordinated colours. An en-suite wet room completes the interior. The cottage is set just opposite the owner’s home, surrounded by gorgeous gardens, and has its own private, enclosed patio. To enjoy some sunshine, head up the steps and tuck yourselves away in the cute arbour or relax at the dining table with some drinks or a meal.
From here you can enjoy both coast and countryside. Tamar Lakes is just 3 miles away, where there’s a lovely 3-mile path around the upper lake and lots of wildlife to spot. The popular seaside town of Bude is the same distance away, where you’ll find canine-friendly beaches as well as shops, pubs and restaurants to enjoy. For a great day trip, the quaint fishing village of Clovelly is just 13 miles.
